    1st show I tried watching it froze my phone. Restart my phone and the app kept shutting down. Save some time and don't waste your memory space.

    I have all Samsung smart TVs that were supposed to be able to stream HBO now I spent hours trying to get it to connect and get through all of the BS.I have to watch what I paid for on my phone which is not satisfactory. Very disappointed and upset about the situationand the fact that you took $20 of my money and I've got to watch like 5 episodes of the show I want to watch thanks a lot

    I just cancelled my trial subscription for HBONOW. What a joke, I can't get it to work on my tablet and I'm tired of fighting with it to work, always get the same message that I can't play the video try later..i'm so done.

    This app is usually pretty unreliable, but I can eventually stream content after a few restarts. The latest issue is that since the update, when I try to cast content to Chromecast, I get loud audio static over my speakers. No other video services cause this problem, I've restarted the tv, speakers, Chromecast, cleared app cache, deleted and reinstalled the app, and all sorts of other things. On a good day the app is not up to par, but now I can't cast at all. Thumbs down.

    Can't add movies to your watch list using this app. It'll only play movies. You have to go online and use your web browser to add movies. How in the world did the developers miss adding this feature?

    This app only opens once, if I have to pause it and close out of it, then try to reopen it then it won't load and freezes up everytime. The only way I can open back up is to restart my phone. I have no issues with any other apps I use on a regular basis like Netflix, etc.

    Loading time ridiculous. For the price I'm paying I spilt be able to pay a movie. No it's not my internet on my cell. I have t mobile never had an issue with internet speed. My app is up to date. And have re started my device and reinstalled. It's not me, it's YOU. please fix or I will cancel my subscription.

    With the money that comes with a company like HBO, you'd assume they could hire app designers or an IT tech crew that could create something that a group of 9 year old's could come up with in an hour. On top of freezing up (with perfect wifi speed and connection) constantly and rarely updating their movies or decent title selections, it's time to say goodbye.. I tried to stay for 6 months after having subscribed for 2 years, but Netflix is running circles around you...

    Update: app now runs fine on Lenovo tablets (didn't before). Works perfectly 90% of the time on all platforms (Android tablet, phone, Roku TV, windows or, Xbox one). Still not available on Vizio smartcast TV, and no excuse for not having 4K in 2020.

    Their goal is to steal your money! It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to cancel my HBO now Subscription. If you try to sign in on the web page it sends you to the free trial sign up. I cannot sign in on any device without being redirected.

    The servers are Doo Doo cheeks. They fail every 45 minutes or so. Can't even finish a single episode of GOT without it failing at least once.

    This app sucks. I continuously get the "Can't play video" error about 5 seconds into watching a show. This has been going on for about two weeks. I cleared the cache and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I'm still getting the error and am unable to watch my shows. Very frustrating.

    Although the content is great the app is really bad. It really need an ads to my list for the movies when you browsing. The app is slow. It really need improvement, we pay $15 each month for this. This is not a free service. Fix it!

    After downloading the app, I thought for sure this was a bootleg third party Spyware. No features. Bad sorting and search. UX is literally the laziest tile layout I've ever seen. I expected a lot better from a company worth this much and charging this much.

    Bad cross device experience. Start an episode on my tablet, later use the my roku to try to resume the episode and I'm at the beginning. Knowing where a user is on a different device is standard for other major streaming platforms hopefully the upcoming HBO max will have what Netflix, hulu e.t.c have offered for years

    I cant believe HBO has the audacity to charge people for this. Their player acts like it's from 2004. If I'm paying for something, I expect it to play. They do not have a skip forward option so even though I pay for their service I'm still forced to watch their Ads. Their player fails to work on google chrome??? Ridiculous.

    Can anyone get this app to work? I uninstalled and reinstalled it, cleared the cache, check my internet speed (218 download and 130 upload on Google fiber) and nothing except blue dots on the screen looking for the movie.

    Don't know if it's the app or quality of WiFi from so much use in the neighborhood during this quarantine, but I have a hard time connecting to HBO, it says it "can't play the movie at this time". I have no problems with NETFLIX, HULU or AMAZON PRIME so I assume it's the app. I can watch it on my phone because my phone has data but who wants to watch a tiny screen all the time? Also proves my point. Too bad, I like HBO.

    HBO NOW needs to add an option to download and watch content when offline. I work away a lot and don't have internet access to stream. It sucks i have to pay for something that I can't watch when I want. NETFLIX has it figured out, why can't HBO NOW!

    Shows are great, but the app lacks basic functionality and has too many bugs. Doesn't have recently watched to continue off where you started, have to keep searching for the show I'm currently watching. Doesn't continue on to next episode. Please include option to skip intros. Half the time can't play video due to some random error. App needs improvement, is way behind competition.

    This app stinks. I pay $15/mo. When I start a show I get to watch HBO adds then it says "having trouble steaming try again later" which I do and it does the same thing. Can't figure out how to discontinue the service either. I wish HBO wasn't so profit driven and could come to an accord with the satellite carrier so I could watch on TV instead of tablet.

    Worst streaming app on mobile. Rewind and forward function does not work and some episodes also won't load for some reason, but works no problem on a regular browser... Release an app that works if you're going to charge people for the subsciption. You'd think HBO would have figured this out by now.

    My love for HBO content is only surpassed by my utter hatred for the HBO NOW site and app. Absolutely horrendous playback experience - buffers frequently and forever And no, it is NOT my internet connection - Netflix, Hulu, Youtube all work fine in full glorious UHD while HBO sputters on.... for $15 a month! I expect at least a base level competent service. They don't even have a 10 sec forward button, or a "Skip" for the annoying ads or intros. I already paid for the content! Nope, this is definitively NOT a Home Box Office experience.

    Only gives error "can't play video: we're having trouble playing this video right now. Please try again later". Never works. Don't waste your time, and use a better, more reliable service. Tons of reports of this all over the web, apparently they've never fixed it. Terrible service. Use literally anything else. Steam their shows illegally, if you have to - because their proper app is trash that doesn't work

    Yes, there are good movies on there. On the other hand, you go in to try and cancel your subscription and it won't let you. I don't feel like being charged to keep it when I don't want it.

    3rd revision: HBO's content is far better than their interface to consume the content. Its capabilities to manage content is poor. Its playback features are buggy, and the features themselves are pretty poor, very limited. It lacks many features of Netflix and Prime have. HBO's service delivery is highly improved but no UHD content. They also release their content on the same schedule as TV-only viewers, which can be frustrating. Note: Sending feedback and reporting issues to HBO is messy

    So 15 dollars a month just to stare at 3 dots change color and never load a picture or anything. How is that worth 15 dollars. So there is no point paying for this anymore if I can't watch anything. I can pay way way way less and get way way way better stuff and stuff that loads. You guys don't think stuff through. Just like the HBO Max app, why would you make a whole new app and keep your 2 existing ones and not combine any of them. That makes sense right? I take it hamsters run everything.

    Let's just say... I hope that HBOmax will be a lot better. Other competitors like Hulu and Netflix have much better app design and seem to have more content. The way this app suggests and shows off the content it has is a little underwhelming. You need to search and find things yourself instead of seeing it while browsing usually. HBO itself is good though, and I'll stick with it for now. Hopefully it will get much better. Also, please make HBOMAX available on LG smart TVs, or on Xfinity.
